Quick Spin: Superformance MKIII R Cobra Kickstarts Our Hearts (Autoblog)

"In all honesty, the MKIII R's one of the most beautiful vehicles I've ever laid eyes on... and I've looked at plenty. During our photo shoot, Drew Phillips and I just kept shaking our heads in amazement. You just don't see cars this lusty, this sculpted and this desirable. We were just mesmerized by its dark, sinister charms – hypnotized even. The longer you leer the better looking it gets.

"But is there go with all that show? I suppose now's the point where I should explain that the 'R' in Superformance MKIII R stands for Roush. And under the aluminum hood sits an absolute brute of a motor. A Roush 427 SR to be specific – one that generates 520 horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque."

ROUSH Starts E-Series Propane Van Builds

PropaneVan377x283 It’s been no secret that the next products in the ROUSH® propane vehicle lineup would be based on the Ford E-Series vans. What is newsworthy is that ROUSH® has now begun the build process. The first couple of E-250 vans down the line will be used for marketing purposes and demo loans, but the fact that these are in the vehicle assembly area means customer builds are imminent. ROUSH® has spoken with a number of large fleet customers around the country and the interest is quite high in the propane-fueled E-Series, so keep an eye open next year as you may see quite a few ROUSH® propane vans roaming the roads.

If you are curious about the advantages of using propane as a motor fuel, check out www.SwitchToPropane.com.

ROUSH Bringing Propane-Powered Mustangs to Drag Strips (Gas2.org)

"Conventional drag racing is pretty much the furthest thing from a green sport, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying the hell out of it. Yet even this tire-melting, gas-wasting sport is diving into the realm of alternative fuels for a variety of reasons.

"Roush, a leading builder of aftermarket Mustangs, is developing two Mustangs for the drag strip powered not by gasoline, but clean-burning propane.

"Roush is best known for its high powered Mustang, but they also dabble in propane fuels already. They have propane conversion kits for Ford F-150 pickup trucks and vans, and they are finally cross-breeding this technology with their racing pedigree."

Roush Talks Propane on FOX Business News

FOXNews377x283 Jack Roush appeared on the FOX Business News cable television channel earlier this morning in a live segment discussing the use of propane with host Brian Sullivan, an amateur racer himself. The pair talked about how propane is a “right here, right now” alternative fuel source that can be used with minimal modifications needed to the vehicle, such as the F-Series pickups and E-Series vans that ROUSH® is converting. The segment aired around 10:40 a.m. (Eastern) and several questions were asked about the technology and the benefits of using propane as a motor fuel.
