ROUSH Engine Powers to NHRA National Record

CarrothersMustang377x283 On Saturday, October 10 a ROUSH® Competition Engines-built 5.4L, 4V Cobra Jet engine powered driver Rock Haas to a new NHRA national record in the Super Stock “D” Automatic (SS/DA) class.
 
Haas, driver of the team Haas Carrothers Wagner 2008 Ford Mustang, raced to a 9.16 elapsed time at 147 mph which broke the existing record of 9.25 at 143 mph. To set a record in NHRA competition, the driver must back it up within one percent, and Haas did that with a pass of 9.20 seconds. Kyle Carrothers, a ROUSH® Performance Powertrain Engineer, is a co-owner of the team.
